You spot a seed hopping across the field. It’s a rare one, it’s cheap, and nobody else has noticed it. You grab it, carry it home, and plant it in your garden.

Then it stands up, because it was another player the whole time, and now they’re in your garden.

That’s Fake a Plant, our new Roblox game. It’s a gardening game where you can’t quite trust the plants.

Start with a seed.

Seeds hop around the field in the middle of the map, each with its name, rarity and price floating above it. Grab one and take it back to your garden, where you pay for it and plant it in your soil.

Once a plant has grown, it earns cash every second. Spend that cash on better seeds, bigger gardens, and gear like the Watering Can and Fertilizer, and the numbers start climbing quickly.

59 plants, and they get strange.

Your first plants are what you’d expect: Wheat, Tulips and Daisies. Then the rarities climb from Common all the way to Divine, and the garden stops looking like a garden. There’s a flower with a rocket in it. There’s a temple growing on a stem. There’s a rose with rings like Saturn.

At the very top is the only Divine plant in the game, the Galaxy Tree.

Now for the fake part.

Every garden has a big green pipe. Jump in, pick a seed to pretend to be, and you pop out on the field as that seed, hopping around with all the real ones.

If someone falls for it, they pay, and that cash goes to you. They carry you home and plant you, and you’re inside their garden. When you’re ready, pop out and steal one of their plants. Then run for it, because the owner is told what you’re doing and can hit you right out of the garden. Make it home, and the plant is yours.

That seed was a FAKE!

You’re not completely defenseless, either. Scanners and the Reveal ability can show you who’s really hiding in that seed, as long as you remember to check before you buy. There’s also a Top Steals leaderboard, if you’d rather be remembered for it.

When the sky turns weird.

Every so often, the weather changes. Rain makes your plants Wet, and a Thunderstorm might leave them Shocked. Then there’s Acid Rain, Tornados, Blood Moons, Meteor Showers, and the big one, a Black Hole. Each one can give your plants a mutation that multiplies what they earn, up to x5 for Black Hole. On top of that, seeds can come as Golden, Diamond or Rainbow.

Keep going.

When you’re ready, you can rebirth. Only your cash resets, and in return you get a bigger cash multiplier, faster growth, and new things to unlock. There are 20 rebirths to work through, and reaching the last one makes you a Garden Master.

So jump in, grow something ridiculous, and think twice about that suspiciously cheap seed. You’ll find us in our Discord server if you’ve got a good steal to brag about.
